1 Day Workshop: Explore the fundamentals of hand-building with clay, while creating a unique, handmade ceramic piece. The two-hour class teaches the basics of working with clay and hand building to create one ceramic piece, such as a cup, bowl, vase, or jewelry holder. Art pieces will be completed by instructor. 4 Week Workshop:
Join us for a intimate hands-on, four-week workshop where you’ll craft your own set of mugs and a bowl with guidance from our skilled instructor. We'll blend wheel throwing and hand-building to expand your skills and creative possibilities. Refine your wheel-thrown mug forms, explore the fundamentals of lidded forms on the wheel, or practice crafting matching sets of bowls. Additionally, we'll introduce fundamental hand-building techniques, allowing you to create unique textures and forms. Through demonstrations, you'll gain confidence in working with larger clay amounts on the wheel, creating consistent forms, and practicing intentional shaping. We'll also introduce you to decorative techniques using underglazes, slips, and glazes. Each student receives a dedicated shelf for clay, tools, and work storage.

10-Week Class: Advanced Beginner Wheel Throwing
Expanding Your Skills & Creativity
Dive deeper into the world of wheel throwing in this comprehensive 10-week workshop for advanced beginners. This class provides a supportive environment to expand your skills and explore your creativity. We'll refine your mug-making abilities, introduce you to the process of creating lidded forms, and guide you through the creation of matching sets of bowls. Through detailed demonstrations, you'll learn to work with increased clay amounts, achieve consistent forms, and practice intentional shaping. We'll also explore a wider range of decorative techniques using underglazes, slips, and glazes, allowing you to personalize your creations. Each student receives a dedicated shelf for clay, tools, and work storage.
Prerequisites: Completion of a beginner ceramics class or three months of consistent wheel throwing experience.
